The body of a woman discovered in Mountain Creek Lake in Dallas last week has been identified as a missing Grand Prairie mother.
According to foxnews reports,Weltzin Garcia, 26, was found by a kayaker on Mountain Creek Lake in Texas, near to her hometown of Grand Prairie.
According to cbslocal reports,Weltzin Garcia, 26, and her boyfriend, Alfonso Hernandez, 28, were reported missing by family members. A day later, Hernandez’s vehicle was found near White Rock Lake in Dallas.
Hernandez’s body was found in White Rock Lake in Dallas in mid-February. Garcia’s body was recovered 22 miles west in Mountain Creek Lake, just south of Grand Prairie.
The Dallas Police Department's Homicide Unit will investigate the death of Garcia.
A Grand Prairie police spokesman, said: 'Once they [Dallas Police Department] complete their investigation, we will close ours as well.'
