A tech company CEO and his wife,and two of their children were found dead Tuesday afternoon as an arson fire swept through their sprawling, multimillion dollar Colts Neck estate.
According to NJ.com reports,Keith Caneiro, 50, his wife Jennifer Caneiro, 45, (pictured) were found dead as their $1.5million two-story Colts Neck home went up in flames on Tuesday.
According to nbcnewyork reports,Three of the people were found dead inside the house, including Jennifer Caneiro, 45, a law enforcement source told NJ Advance Media, as well as the two children.
The body of her husband Keith Caneiro, 50, an Ivy League-educated CEO of an Asbury Park technology company, was discovered on the grass in front of the home with at least one gunshot wound, the source said.
Neighbors in the affluent Colts Neck town say they are devastated about the loss of life at the home, especially so close to Thanksgiving.
Colts Neck is a well-to-do community about 50 miles south of New York City and is home to horse farms. Typical homes in the town of 10,000 are valued at about $750,000. Bruce Springsteen owns an estate there, and his son is a former member of the fire department. Former "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart and his wife operate an animal sanctuary there; Queen Latifah sold her mansion there in 2015.
