A missing 15-year-old schoolgirl may have run away with a 47-year-old man who “wanted to marry her”, the teen’s family say.
Domeanna Spell,15, was located with Cory 'Shane' Disotell, 47, on Friday in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, which is 1,165 miles from where she was last seen just over one week ago,according to WAFB.
According to yahoo reports,Domeanna Spell was last seen getting off her school bus at Louisiana, US, about 7am last Thursday, then she got into a car driven by divorced dad Cory ‘Shane’ Disotell, her older sister Jerrie Cradeur believes.
Spell's sister, Jerrie Cradeur, said the believed the teen willingly walked across the street after getting off the school bus and got into a car with Disotell on March 28.
'He probably has her believing that she's safe with him and that she's madly in love with him,' Cradeur told KATC before Spell was found.
Cradeur told ABC News that once her mother discovered the inappropriate relationship, she had demanded the two no longer have any contact.
Cory Shane Disotell wrote on his Linkedin profile that he has managed his own business called SD’s Tree Service since 2003. He described the services provided as “hazardous tree removal, rope access, limited access trees, trees over houses, etc. Normally a side job service on days off, but full time when things get slow.”
The FBI has joined the search for Domeanna, aiding the U.S. Marshals Service, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, the Port Barre Police Department and the Louisiana State Police.
Anyone with information about the missing girl, who stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 105 pounds, is asked to call 800-225-5324. Disotell is believed to be driving a silver 2003 Honda Civic with Louisiana plates.
