A teenage girl charged after officials said she tried to rob a woman she was meeting for a sale.
The Chicago Police Department said in a press release that the unidentified minor was meeting with Araceli Diaz, 21, around 5.45pm in the 2300 block of South Drake Avenue to 'conduct a sale.'
When Diaz communicated that the price for the animal would be $800, the girl reportedly brandished a pellet gun, The Chicago Tribune reports.
Chicago police said that Diaz is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday.
"A BB gun can appear like a real gun and to anyone out there it's gonna appear like a real gun, to the police, and to any individual, and if someone's carrying and they have their own CCL they may use their own gun to defend themselves," Jara told FOX32.
