A Transportation Security Administration worker jumped to his death from a balcony inside Florida's busiest airport Saturday.

Robert Henry, 36, an off-duty officer, died after he fell from the Hyatt Regency Hotel into a busy atrium at the airport Saturday at approximately 9.30am.

Police are investigating the death as an "apparent suicide."

He was found in critical condition and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

A witness told WPLG that he saw the man climb over a balcony railing before leaping to his death.

“Thought it was strange and then thought he may be observing the security area below since he was TSA. I wish I would have said something to him,” said James Shaw, a hotel guest.

“Our hearts are with the @TSA family during this very difficult time,” the Orlando Police Department tweeted.

Henry's brother, Evan Henry, remembered his late older brother a 'beloved son, brother and dedicated Transportation Security Officer.'

He said in a GoFundMe page description: 'The tragedy at Orlando International Airport has affected many people and we are in mourning.

Rep. Darren Soto, D-Fla., noted in a tweet that the officer's death comes after TSA employees struggled through a partial government shutdown. Along with other government workers, TSA officers worked without pay during the 35-day shutdown.
