A Logansport High School varsity volleyball player is accused of shooting a former student in Peru, Indiana.
Brayden Berkshire, 18, was arrested Monday night on reckless homicide charges in the death of 18-year-old Nathan Joe Hopper at a Peru home, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
Brayden M. Berkshire was released on $15,000 bail following her arrest on Monday by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
According to The Pharos-Tribune reports,Berkshire, 18, was arrested by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office on the night of February 4 after the shooting, which took place on the morning of February 3 at around 7 a.m. in Hopper’s home.
Hopper is a former student of Logansport while Berkshire is currently on the honor roll and the school’s volleyball team, according to the Tribune report.
The investigation is being handled by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, the Miami County Coroner’s Office, and the Indiana State Police.
