A Bethlehem woman charged Thursday with bruising and head trauma in her triplets only weeks after they were born in 2016 .
Ann Covalt Henry, 51, of the 400 block of Fifth Avenue, faces multiple felony counts of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.
Following the birth of her triplets in 2016, Henry allegedly told a caregiver that she was contemplating suicide and wanted to 'throw a baby through a plate glass window', according to The Morning Call.
Henry gave birth to the triplets in July of 2016 at the age of 49. She and her husband Marcus Henry, 32, had received help from fertility specialists.
In July 2018, Henry allegedly assaulted the third child with the head trauma again, Lehigh Valley Live reported.
Henry was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Wayne Maura, sobbing softly as he read the allegations against her. She was released on $75,000 unsecured bail.
